Project Manager / System Analyst – Customer Billing & Collection Systems
The Special Projects Manager is responsible for working with project champions and process owners to develop and implement a portfolio of continuous improvement projects that are aligned with Customer Affairs’ goals and objectives. This position will also assist with all software user issues from the Customer Affairs side. The incumbent is responsible for project requirement development and development of implementation plans. The Special Projects Manager will also serve as a primary member on project implementation teams. This incumbent is responsible for identifying creative solutions to problems and documenting them to senior management for consideration, and for assisting in managing system administration changes and monitoring the performance and impact of such changes. Primary responsibilities include close work with teams of project managers, integration and software developers, data analysts, and subject matter experts within the business in order to create, maintain, and develop strategies for packaged and custom solutions that satisfy specific business requirements.
Residency Requirement: All employees of the Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) must live in the City of Philadelphia for the duration of their employment. If a candidate does not live in the City of Philadelphia at the time of hire, he/she must move into the city within twelve (12) months of his/her hire date.
