Enterprise Strategic Consultant / Project Manager – PMP 

 

Enterprise Strategic Consultant I (ESC I)
Support enterprise objectives. They work on projects that increase efficiency and improve customer service. This individual is responsible for the development and management of multiple strategic and/or process improvement projects designed to achieve higher levels of efficiency or effectiveness. The ESC interacts daily with other ESC`s, business users, programmers, and functional managers to support business operations by bridging the gap between technical and non- technical personnel in support of enterprise. The ESC`s handles project assignments that may have rganizationave global effects on the organization and is accountable for providing strategic consultancy support that defines and/or designs business process that incorporates best practices to ensure solutions are effective and efficient for the organization. 1 to 3 years of business analysis or project management experience.

 

Enterprise Solutions Consultant II (ESC II)
Support enterprise objectives by increasing efficiency, improving customer service, and reducing costs. Incumbents are responsible for the development and management of multiple strategic and/or process improvement projects designed to achieve higher levels of efficiency or effectiveness. This level ESC is a key contributor to achieving specific goals for projects with budgets of up to $500,000
and implementation periods of less than 5-years. The ESC II handles project assignments that may affect processes of more than one department within the organization and is accountable for providing strategic consultancy support that defines and/or designs
business processes that incorporates best practices to ensure  solutions are effective and efficient for all customer requirements.


The Senior Enterprise Solutions Consultant (SESC)

 

Interact daily with other ESCs, business users, programmers, and functional managers to support business operations by bridging the gap between technical and non-technical personnel in support of enterprise objectives by increasing efficiency, improving customer service, and reducing costs. This resource will serve as product owner for one or more enterprise applications be familiar with the product roadmap and understand how the product will solve client department pain points. Incumbents are responsible for the development and management of multiple strategic and/or process improvement projects designed to achieve higher levels of efficiency or effectiveness. This level SESC is a key contributor to achieving specific goals for projects with budgets over $500,000 and implementation periods of 5 or more years. The SESC handles project assignments that may have global affects on the organization and is accountable for providing strategic consultancy support that defines and/or designs business processes that incorporates best practices to ensure solutions are effective and efficient for the organization. 5 to 7 years of relevant business and/or project management experience (w/BA) or 1 to 3 years of experience (w/MA).

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional expertise to elicit, document and maintain business requirements and understand how they translate into technical requirements. Requirements include but not limited to Business Requirement Documents, system diagrams, use cases and analysis of data.
  • Participates in providing gap analysis, from a software perspective, highlighting current state, future state, client needs and best practices.
  • Facilitate communication across various organizational units and help resolve conflicting requirements.
  •  Provide guidance on how to best leverage Information Technologies and Services
  • Lead Join Application Development (JAD) sessions
  • Provide guidance on policies, procedures and practices of the IS department and organization in Customer Relationship Management, Project Management, Data Analysis, Report Writer and Application Design and Delivery disciplines by:
  • Lead comprehensive research and analysis projects searching for meaning in the data and information that drives the decision making process, constructs appropriate financial models to help predict/forecast future events that impact enterprise.
  • Provide proactive analysis and recommendations that will assist in streamlining operations, increasing efficiency, improving productivity and reducing costs; project management leadership to initiatives and process reviews; leads best practice analysis, recommendations, implementation and measurement, project status and metrics reporting functions.
  • Build an intimate knowledge of assigned customers` activities in order to proactively identify opportunities to apply new and/or improved technologies to business processes.
  • Assist assigned customers and project teams with issues such as priority- setting, facilitation and contract brokerage to overcome obstacles, meet budgetary expectations and achieve specific project related goals; prepares cost/ benefit analysis and budget submissions in support of departmental objectives.
  • Assess near-term needs, utilizing structured interview processes to establish business priorities.
  • Consult with subject matter experts and develops alternative solutions for business challenges; advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact on other business processes and system priorities.
  • Work with business leaders to develop their departments` business plans focusing on industry and consumer trends to identify processes that have the potential to be changed to reduce cost and/or to improve efficiency recommended changes, develop implementation plans and assist in implementation.
  • Assist in implementing, monitoring and measuring change impacts; develops metrics reports for determining successes/ failures.
  • Keep abreast of current and business and technology trends within the industry in order to assist departments in the evaluation of same and their potential application at PGW vs. other alternative materials and tools currently used. 
  • Perform other special projects and assignments as requested.

Qualifications

Note: Grade hired at will be commensurate with experience and education.

  • Bachelor`s degree in MIS, Business Management, Information Technology or other related field of study required and 3 – 5 years’ experience in business analysis and project management within the software development life cycle.
  • Master`s degree or PMP preferred.
  • Must have financial analysis ability in order to translate how metric improvement impact the company`s financial statements.
  • Must have leadership ability with a willingness to lead, take charge and offer opinions in order to provide guidance to lower level peer group and assist the director in identifying the best people for special assignments and advancement.
  • Demonstrated strong teamwork skills with self-motivation to achieve success in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and manage priorities.
  • Must have the ability to create industry standard project management documentation throughout the life cycle of the project.
  • Financial management understanding and ability to manage a budget, forecast and explain variances.
  • Must have verbal and written communication skills with the ability to develop detailed business and communication plans, project status reports, proposed changes and presentations that are tailored for the specific audience in order to get by into decisions.
  • Must be highly motivated for success, often requiring strong effort.  Must have the ability to identify and document detailed components of workflows and to make recommendations on how to appropriately modify those workflows.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, and MS Project.   Power BI or Tableau a plus.
