SUPERVISOR, ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
Accounts Payable Administration
Verify accuracy of all bills passed and approves all such transactions prior to forwarding to Treasury payment.
Act primary contact to vendors for resolution of discrepancies within invoices, purchase orders and receipts for goods or
service; takes appropriate actions to resolve issues and process timely payments.
Coordinate the month-end close of the Oracle Accounts Payable module; prepare special year-end reports and year-end accrual of outstanding goods and services; enter information into the general ledger; provide schedules for external
auditors.
Act as primary liaison with independent auditing staff in the completion of annual external and other audits as assigned
performing special project analysis as may be required.
Assist in the review, selection, implementation, and maintenance of our accounting systems related to the accounts
payable function.
Perform regular and as hoc account analysis, financial analysis, financial analysis, reports, and forecasts requested.
Personnel Management
Coordinate subordinate work activities by developing project timelines, milestones and analyzing impact, determining
priorities of activities, making work assignments, monitoring projects, and providing direction.
Assess employee needs ensuring subordinates are properly trained and adhere to company policies, practices and
procedures including collective bargaining agreement when applicable.
Evaluate and meet with subordinates to discuss work performance providing appropriate commendations and
disciplinary actions to ensure employees are well equipped to meet and/or exceed job expectations.
Finance & Accounting
Participate in the annual budget preparation process and the annual company audit as needed or requested.
Other Related Functions
Keep abreast of current tax, pension and related accounting regulations and standards; ensure unit is up-to-date and
processing information in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
Perform other special projects and assignments as directed.
Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or other related area.
3 – 5 years’ experience related experience working in an as an auditor, accountant, financial analyst, etc.
Must have supervisory skills with the ability to create a professional and constructive environment that fosters a team oriented and customer service approach to day-to-day operations.
Must have project management skills with a high degree of technical skill involving accounting systems, and project analysis.
Must have analytical skills with the ability to produce detailed verbal and written financial reports/statements.
Must be familiar with Accounting Software packages, preferable Oracle Financials.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable in lieu of a degree.
